PROJECTS

RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE, Cornerstone of Engineering – Spring 2021

  • Studied the conservation of energy and the relationship between potential energy and kinetic energy in a series of mechanical transfers of energy
  • Designed and simulated a metal track and a lever system using SolidWorks, then built the track by soldering thick wire and 3D printing the levers
  • Collaborated with three other students to assemble various stages of the machine and write a report on how the machine took advantage of energy transfers

FIRST TECH CHALLENGE, St. Sebastian’s School Robotics Team – 2018-2020

  • Designed and constructed multiple projects to complete various mechanical tasks for points in competitions: used SolidWorks and Fusion 360 to design a robot and create custom parts, and 3D printing to manufacture those parts
  • Oversaw and trained a small team of students who helped design, build, and test both the robot as a whole and individual parts/ideas
  • Managed and allocated a budget of $12,000 throughout the season to purchase parts and invest in equipment that allowed the team to approach problems from multiple creative angles

RED NUN BAR & GRILL, Chatham, MA – 2016-2021

  • Acted as a liaison between wait staff and kitchen staff to guarantee the rapid production and distribution of high-quality food to customers
  • Handled customer interaction and ensured satisfaction in a section of the restaurant while delegating tasks to other employees
